Easy for me, my father in law. He passed away 2 weeks after I met my husband. I would have loved to gotten to know him.
I also would love to meet Jimmy Carter. Yes an american. He is someone I have a lot of respect and admiration for. I would love to sit and listen to the stories he could tell about eveything he has done and seen. I think it would be very interesting and educational.
I can’t believe how hard this one was for me! I’ve thought about it all day and I still can’t really nail it down right. I don’t really have any ‘idols’ that I have adored through my life and have dreamed of meeting. I don’t really want to meet any celebrities or politicians. I almost have to admit that I’m finally stumped here.
If I reach into the realm of the ‘no longer here’ like Tammy, I would choose my husband’s paternal grandfather. I’ve heard so many stories and he was so influential for him that I would really love have a point of reference for him myself.
If I’m sticking with the here and now….I would say I’d love to meet Anne Geddes. Not because I’d want to sit down with her and be her friend. I would love to watch her work for a day. See what it’s really like to be on one of her sets. And of course get some pointers for my own kid photography.
This is one of those questions I love asking other people, but never really had an adequate answer for myself. Patrick Stewart is high on my list of people to meet. The man is just… wow. I’d love to sit down and discuss Shakespeare with him, talk about everything he’s done, wants to do, and find out who HE wants to most meet. Dead or alive.
For those past (recent or long ago) that’s another huge long list with huge long reasons. Some of the original suffragettes, explorers of old… so many choices, but I’m still stuck with feeling like that’s an inadequate answer.
